Lutra
It has seen the flow of magic in this land; an oddity, Lutra, that is given by the elusive Tree of Whispers to blossom with its inhabitants as their arcane talent grows. Flourishing, nurtured by their spells, the magical lutra seed grows and grows until it reaches full potential. Though be wary, for darkness can sprout from a lutra that has been stolen from its owner. How do the cervids come into possession of the lutra fruit? Where does it grow, how does it grow? On the dawn of the summer and winter solstice, Idris's core magic is at its strongest though this is unknown to all but the bees and the trees. The Tree of Whispers - formerly laying dormant in the ground as a seed - sprouts anew and feeds upon this sudden surge of power until it grows and produces seeds of its own. Each time it sprouts, the location is different. Once the location of the Tree of Whispers is discovered, cervid's travel far and wide hoping that the tree will bless them with a seed of their own and awaken their elemental power. While the seed grows, it is up to that cervid to protect their seed and feed it with their newly acquired elemental spells. In return, the seed will bolster their strength and nurture their talent until it is time for the seed to bear its fruit. Once the fruit is consumed, it can no longer be stolen. Consuming a lutra fruit is the sorcerer's ultimate dream. Once the sweet, tantalizing fruit is devoured, one seeks the Tree of Whispers where they may receive not only another seed to raise but also a second element to tame. Lutra Levels In order for your character to unlock more powerful spells beneath their given element, they must first grow their seed/level. Unlike most plants, lutra is entirely composed of magic so you'll need more than water and a little dirt for it to sprout and flourish. Being that it is intricately bound to Idiris through magic, it also requires magic so that it can thrive. How much it needs depends entirely on the current state of your lutra seed!
Elemental Charms Once your character has been accepted by the tree of whispers and they recieve their seed, so too will they become sprite chosen. Those chosen by an elemental sprite will be able to magically manipulate the forces beneath that sprites element in the form of a charm invisible to the naked eye. The seed and the charm are one in the same; to have the seed stolen means that your charm will go with it. The element is chosen based on your character's aptitude so you have no control over which element your character is given! Characters born on site do not inherit their parents elemental charms, however, they are more likely to be chosen by one of their parents sprites. You may have a max of two charms on a character. Please note that the following spells are a guideline meaning that you may change or adapt them to suit your character so long as the spell remains within the parent element.
