As a fawn, she was a supremely gangly creature, with ears just a size too large and legs just a size too long. Now matured, she is still a longshanks of a doe, forgoing most of the usual grace and soft lines of her kind in favor of a more lean, athletic build. The doe's eyes are the green of new spring leaves, and her fur is piebald, her natural red-brown shade largely obscured by white splotching. These two colors interweave with eachother, resulting in flecks of varying size running across her body, though her throat and underbelly are generally unbroken white. On her shoulders, flanks, and the top of her skull, the white hairs are much sparser and allow more of the brown to show through. This is not the only strange quality her fur carries, however. Running down her neck and back, it grows thick and bristling, standing up like the hackles of a carnivore. Her tail also bears an impressive flag, giving her an overall scruffy, almost "spiky" silhouette. -Adrenaline junkie -Inquisitive to a fault -Latent savior complex -Enthusiastic, but directionless -Searching for a purpose Born in fairly unremarkable circumstances, she was the firstborn daughter of a young, wistful herd doe and a rakish lone buck, who wooed her out from under the stag who had claimed her herd for the rut. Meeting in secret, he would win her over with honeyed words and stories of adventure, of beasts fought and daring deeds done. What truly impressed her, however, was his mastery of air magic. Even after the season had passed and the mysterious mage had disappeared back into the wilderness, the resulting fawn grew up on the stories passed down to her by her starstruck mother. As a result, Tamelyn grew up with a drive to win her own glory. She saw her life in the herd stretching before her, a safe and monotonous cycle of fawn-rearing, and fled from that future. Where she's going now, she's not entirely sure, but she does know two things: she wants to find her calling, and she wants to find her magic. |
